Q. I need accuracy above all else for paper punching. And did I mention that my air rifle needs to be accurate?
A. You're right on target! Look at the list below for our suggestions. Refine your search and choose using the unique Archer Pellet Guns RateAGun™ score. The lower the score, the easier the gun is to use.
Pellet rifles can be very accurate indeed, particularly in combination with peep sights or scopes. Accuracy can exceed that of firearms at relatively short ranges, and pellet rifles can be considerable fun to shoot in the basement with a suitable pellet trap to hold the targets.
Of course, the most accurate pellet rifles are very expensive, but there are some low cost air rifles that can be used for very accurate shooting, if you do your part as a target shooter.
Many shooters gain great satisfaction from punching holes in paper targets. The NRA provides specifications and targets for matches. There are also postal and Internet matches available to provide competitive stimulus, even if you shoot alone.
The pellet guns in this section combine accurate barrels, light trigger pulls, micro-adjustable peep sights and, often, adjustable stocks so that you can achieve that perfect hold. All have a low RateAGun ™ score, as you would expect, in recognition of their suitability for target shooting.
